I have had my r1+ for a little under 2 years and it has grow to become very very loud. Just wondering if anyone has had this same problem and has replaced the fans inside the power supply unit

Is there any chance that it will damage anything in the printer since it isn’t stock

Nope. It is really identical in terms of size and better in terms of specs :)
They used a generic power supply to build them.

How easy/hard would you say it is to install it?

Simple really. You have to disconnect the wires (label them to know where they go)
Pry loose the power supply -- it will slide out, but it is a tight fit
    Install new one
    Re-install wires.

I think all my power supplies have been replaced at this point. The originals are cheap (quality and price tag) replacements are cheap but seem much nicer. Pretty sure I bought the ones you have linked and they are quite nice.
