For that print I set it to what you naked me to.

Plastic it’s extruding looks fine and other wise the vase wouldn’t have come out like it did, and the gear doesn’t skip, I’ve seen it happen before and it’s not skipping

That's good information. Try a different slicer. I like Slic3r and the new cura.

I would say it is a slicing software profile that is the issue. Especially if the provided Robo models print well.

Won’t my settings transfer over if I upgrade to the new Cura?

I'm not sure. You can try slic3r just to see if that takes care of the problem first if it does. If you still want to use cura after that then you should be able to find a resolution to that problem then. I would just start with what's easiest to control first.

I'm sorry about the delay in my response. For Slic3r you just need to put in the build volume sizes, set your nozzle size, and select that it has a heated bed. If I remember right, I think that Slic3r brings up an initial setup window when you first install and run it.

Here are my settings but I have an R2.
Anything beyond that, I'm not sure I'm your best resource. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Did you ever get this problem resolved? Based on the view of the video, it appears that the bed is not properly leveled. (too close) Assuming that you haven't trashed your C2, please read the bed leveling procedures found at the beginning of this forum.

You might need to reset the Marlin Firmware. Check the C2 FAQ for details.

I did figure this out. The gantry was warped, the main board mosfet for the extruder was failing. I replaced the gantry rods and bearings, and put in a smoothie board.

Is the "smoothie" board available commercially? I ask because I have not heard of this. Glad to hear that you were able to fix the situation.

I bought mine on Amazon. Just watch out for the third party ones like MKS. They have some problems.

On the clone smoothie boards, it is possible to run Marlin 2.0 and it appears to be fully supported. Boards like the MKS Sbase and SGen, BigTreeTech SKR, among others.

Even if they have issues with Smoothieware, you are not restricted to running that firmware, at least not anymore.

It is not a trivial matter to install Marlin 2.0 on these boards, just an FYI.

Which one did you use for your situation? A link maybe? Amazon keeps a history of purchases.
