    I dont know what happened.
I never had this problem before.
just printed a test support in matter controll. worked fine.
I went to print another to compare and now all of the sudden the first layer isnt going down on any subsequent prints. its being pulled up and collecting around the nozzle as it tries to print.

I just came off of a great few print with flexible TPU

I had changed a few settings but nothing that would cause this.
I tried an older start g code from my old laptop . but still have the same problem.

what could cause this change between two print

Thoroughly clean the bed surface and reapply any agent you may put on the bed (example, hair spray, glue stick, ABS slurry, etc)

yeah I did that and it worked.
    also a couple other things:
I was thinking maybe there was a bit of a clog that caused under extrusion also????
or maybe not enough tension on the hobbed bolt.???
    could that have contributed?

cause it looked like the nozzle was too high and filament wasn't squished like usual.
turned the screws another turn also.

at first thought "Z height problem" was taking me down a different path than what was needed.
every time I think I am learning, I am humbled.
    thanks for posting.

Was it PLA? If yes, was the nozzle seasoned?

I know it is a pain, to do but maybe just replace the nozzle. If you are using brass nozzles, just toss them, don't clean them. They are very cheap in packs, even on Amazon.

"Seasoning" means the same thing you would do for a cast iron skillet, a few drops of canola oil or other high smoke point oil will suffice.

Here is an example, 0.4 mm brass nozzles
20 nozzles for $9 that way you just toss them every month and still have enough nozzles for almost two years.

Here is an assortment pack, to experiment with different size nozzles
