Thats my next step. Seems when all alen screws are loose on right side with large rod (bushing?) moves freely. When that rod is tighten it binds. So I'll have to find those orange clips they sent and follow aligning. Will check back.

Thank you. Is there any instructions on replacement? I still have a month of warrantee. Is it worth waiting and going through Robo or just quicker and easier to order my own?

Even if you source your own have Robo send you warranty parts. Its there and included in the purchase price, they need to supply :D

It will absolutely be faster to order your own.
They have been in a bad state for replacement parts so I can't even assume you will get one, much less quickly.
Still, you should open a ticket for a warranty replacement.

P.S. and none of us work for Robo so we can't speak for what they may do or how, just judging from recent experience. This forum is not the way to talk to Robo directly :) We can help and advise though.

Thanks Guys. With the page Wheres Waldo provided they range from 38-42 mm. Plugs are varied. Some provide what each wire is. Voltage as low as 2.6V to some 9V to 42V. Is there an exact or will any do?

Just make sure you are getting 4-wire steppers (not 6) and the voltage is not a big deal these are stepper and are really current driven. As long as the current is < 1.5amp/phase you are fine (1amp/phase is normal, 2 phases: A/B so 2amp rating is common). The Pololu stepper drivers will do the rest ;)

With 4-wire steppers the wires are all identical in terms of colors and what is connected where (A+, A-. B+, B-)

Ordered one on Amazon. Put in a ticket to Robo. This is my second ticket. First problem was nicely solved by Jason last month.
Now to figure out how to replace. Any threads on that?

3D printers run the steppers at low voltage and high amperage. So it doesn't really matter what the specs say. Almost all NEMA 17 (NEMA designates physical size) x 40 mm steppers run in the same range. Just pick one.

Probably not, BUT ... you can create one when you do it :)

The hardest part is probably disassembly and there are some threads on that. Once you get the shell off it is not too bad.

Put in a ticket to Robo and heard back from Jason. So they will be sending a new one. Just whether it's still in warrantee. Which it should be as I bought last May. Ordered one from Amazon too.

Received a replacement stepper from Robo. Replaced and works fine. Will upload images for replacement. BUT in loosening the axis I lost one of the ends for the 8mm rod. this is the piece that centers the rod in the hole in the case. I know it's metal but a printed one would do. Does anyone know if such a stl exists?

    The bushing?
Hmm... maybe one of the R2 folks has one. If it just fell down inside it might be worth spelunking to find it :)

That is a bearing, and I think we already speced that flanged bearing in another thread, too lazy to look for it myself and don't recall the exact spec.

I havent had to replace in my units so not sure. At a glance there are no markings on the super chinese ones in the units so would have to suggest what Waldo has listed as a part number in the thread you linked to :(
