Robo is out of the hotend/extruder for the R2, does anyone know where I can get the exact replacement?

Amazon will get you the closest.
    But...
It will not have the same quick-disconnects so you will need to swap those out.
If you are up to it, we can point you at them.

On thingiverse I posted a new shroud that allows you to use the e3d6 clones. Connectors have to be changed. just search on Robo R2

Not that I am aware of... Not rocket science at least. If you have specific questions we can tackle those.

Normally most people would just snip the old wiring and solder it to the new hotend wiring.

Honestly you could just use the not hotends quick-disconnects -- most come with some.
So they don't match what Robo had? <shrug> Not likely you will be seeing any more of their spares anyway :)

Is the R2 and C2 the same except for the heater core? If so couldn't just switching the heater core make it the r2 hotend?

Yes, technically the R2 is 24v and the C2 19v. I used a 24v heater core (a 24v 40w replacement) in the C2 and no real difference in performance/ That is the only real difference.
