I dont know how i managed this but i cracked my r1+ printbed in half trying to remove my latest print. Gluing it or laying a film on top will not fix this. Whats the closest thing to a direct replacement that we have available since the robo store is no more?

If you are lucky (ore really careful) you can sometimes salvage the existing bed heater, but really (given the quality of it) you are better off just replacing it as well. Lots of threads on that too.

Thanks for the responses. The partbuilt people will definitely be supplying parts for our printers or are we in trouble?

Yes, they are supplying parts -- but -- there will likely be availability issues as they have to then go source them. In some cases they can generically source them and in others perhaps they can use the Robo sources...

Good news is that almost all of the parts (R1/R1+/C2/R2) are pretty generic.

I am selling my RoboR1+. The whole thing with original box and aftermarket screen plus e3d hotend and dual parts fan. Functional. Only $200. That aftermarket hotbed is about $70 alone. Just a thought.

The magnets could be transferred from the broken bed. Show the broken glass to a local glass repair store. They might have something similar in stock or they might be able to order it for you.

I have been trying to finagle a bed from Robo for years. I converted one beta to the bed upgrade when they had that, but later "acquired" another beta (and an actual R1+) so I want to standardize the beds (the original beta bed was sadness in a package).

Thanks for pointing out that this folks had it and.... for the record ... that price is cheaper than what Robo wanted when you could order them :)

Is the heating element on the V2 bed the same as the V1?

For the R1? I can't say. The "R1" bed upgrade kit had a heater that was certainly better than the beta, but it looks much the same as the one on the R1+. The real issue with the Robo heaters on the R1 series is the wattage limitation. They are not very strong heaters.
