Before getting into it, here is what I am using.

Printer model: Robo 3D R1 Plus
Frimware: version 2 with RepRap Full Graphics Display library
Filament make and type: MatterHacker’s PETG white

    Hardware addons:
-Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with latest flavor of OctoPrint and OctoPrint anywhere add on
-Logitech webcam 1080p 30fps (can’t remember the model)
    -RepRap Full Graphics Display.
    -E3D V6 hotend
-Cooling fan stock in printed enclosure
    https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:977487

    Slicer: MatterControl 2
    Gcode edit: -0.90 z offset

    Print specs:
    -Speed: 30mm/s
    -nozzle: 240c
    -bed: 70c
    -nozzle size: .4mm

Adhesion: Elmer’s washable disappearing glue stick

Okay now when I am printing I noticed that there was a difference between the left and right on the first layer.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190701/3d49b8310397294b930dc16000ea199d.jpg[IMG]

I took my calipers to it and found that there was a slight height difference on the sides of the bed. So I added a scraped piece from that print. Placed it under the front right magnet of the bed.
It kind of worked. But the issue continues. On smaller and fast movements on the first layer don’t seems to stick and build up on the nozzle or they scrap and push up on each other.

I’m not sure but this seems have been an issue after I switch hotends and went from the stock style nozzle to the E3d v6 volcano style nozzle.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

well when that happens it is one of two things:

    1) the bed is out of level enough that autoleveling is not going to fix that spot (this can happen if the bed is warped).
    2) bed is fine and one of the switches is misreporting. This happens when they get out of position on the crossbar and mounts. It can also happen if one switch is broken or a wire TO the switch is broken.

Start by reviewing the first video in this link: http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/helpful-videos-novice-expert.7478/
(all of them are worth a watch, but the first one is for autoleveling)

Thanks. I did get my print second hand. Later today I’ll remove the bed and check it make sure it’s level and later the switches.

Good luck. Hit us up if y have questions (pictures might help with details).
Usually it is the switches out of position.

P.S. You can update the R1+ to the later versions of Marlin (like 1.1.9 or 2.0) there are threads in the mods-upgrades section if you feel inclined and willing to experiment.

Assuming everything was working fine I'd leave it on 1.0 and fix the switch :)
If in fact it is NOT a switch and the bed is warped then consider upgrading to 1.1.x and implement something like MESH or UBL (MESH was reworked into UBL so really that is the best approach).

Again, stay stock if it is something simple like a switch because there is some effort involved in moving up. It is not as simple as reloading the firmware and hitting PRINT. Read the Marlin threads (like the one I linked) sine those discuss this too,

I think I’m good, running a series of prints
I think it was too much glue stick, because the bed is not warped and the switches are all functioning correctly.

Okay I have had success with the printer getting constant prints. The bed may have a slight warp on the left side but nothing life running do i can live with it for a bit. I was able to print out those exoskeleton hands on Thingiverse.[IMG]
I’ll see about replacing the bed at some point. But for now it’s fine. Thanks for your help.

Just one question. I installed a filament sensor to my R1 Plus. My prints are acting a bit funky.[IMG]
I believe I may have used the wrong Marlin file from WhereWaldo. I’m going to take a shot in the dark and say that I need to download the file with PLUS in it right?[IMG]

A similar thing happened when I uploaded the wrong frimware last time.
