So I purchased a used robo r1 beta for which I replaced the hotend to an e3d online v6 lite one. Also added a magnetic pad for the print bed.

I have tried different types of pla, also at different temperatures, ranging from 180 up to 230c, and still I get very stringy results. Here is an example of a printout I did at 200c, I uploaded an image which is attached to this post.

other than that, the printouts are great, they are strong and have good quality.

I use Mattercontrol to print, and I exported the settings to an INI file which I have copied the settings below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Stringy prints are usually the result of interactions between temperature and retraction. Try increasing retraction lengths or set coasting values higher. I do not use MatterControl so I don't know exactly where those settings are of if they even exist in that software.

    Ditto what @WheresWaldo said.

There are three main factors in stringing:
    1) retraction
    2) extrusion temperature
    3) filament type

Adjust retraction to be more... double or triple what you have now and see.
If that doesn't sort it, try bringing your temperature down*.
Lastly some filaments are more pron to stringing that others so consider a different one -- not the normal ones (PLA/ABS) those you can sort with settings.

Also not a mattercontrol user so if you don't know how to do this you might want to look through their docs: http://wiki.mattercontrol.com/Main_Page

*unless this is PET/PETG in which case higher might be better as those tend to be stringy when too cold

Also try increasing the Z-lift. This lifts your nozzle above the print leaving some filament behind.

Don't be tempted to increase your retraction speed. After 40mm/s I started having issues with grinding.
