Anyone know where I can order replacement rods? I found on 3DPartsbuild.com but they only have 1 in stock. One on eBay as well but it's from 3Dpartsbuild too same inventory. I called them and they said it's the same qty 1 they show in stock both places.

You can just buy the generic 8mm stainless rods at about the correct length -- amazon has some that will work. That is what I did here: http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/bed-replacement-on-r1-beta.23757/ or get generic ones and cut them yourself. IIRC (and looking at my order history) I think I went with 8mm x 400mm stainless. Those were just an inch or so too long (so I ran them out the end of the cap/bracket on the bed rails). I could have cut them to length, but was too lazy.

Not sure why running a longer rod thru the end bracket didn't occur to me.

    ... and that's what I shall do.

    Thanks

Yea, I thought the base was larger than it really was :)
Worst case a couple of drops of glue will make sure that it down't move.
