I like your idea of going to a .9 degree/step stepper. The Robo uses a custom 1.15 amp stepper motor and the driver is set for 1.125 amps. The motor you are using requires 1.68 amps. This is significantly under driven. If you go to the Partsbuilt.com board you could install DVR8825 driver boards and set them to 1.68 amps and also 32 steps.

Hello and thanks for the information.

I dont thought about the electronics, i simply bought the Titan Extruder and followed the instructions.
There are no problems with the E3D but i dont have the original power supply. I have a stronger one.

But i think this is a interesting suggestion. I will try it. Thank You.

    Regards, excuse mxy school english.

The Robo 2 board uses a 4298 stepper driver biased at .9v with a 0.1 ohm sense resistor. The current is .9v/.8 -> 1.25 amps. Your power supply does not matter as long as it is adequate.

Thanks, but now you are confusing me.
The E3D is the stronger motor, so changing the Driver Board should be the better way...right ?

From your descriptions you are using a geared down extruder so it does not required a great deal of torque. The ideal is to use the lightest stepper that will do the job. The pancake stepper should be adequate.

If you want to use the stepper that you are currently using then the only way to get the required current is to get the Partsbuilt.com board an put in DVR 8825 stepper boards. It is a more reliable board.
