I have everything set up and I was ready to start printing and I noticed that when I either manually turn the wheel or the machine starts printing and the gears are turning, the filament is not getting pulled through.

I have it fed all the way and when I apply light pressure to the filament, it comes out of the hot end, but the machine just wont pull it through.

    What can I do?

Sounds like one of the following:
    1. Stepper driver board is out of adjustment or failing (I generally just replace them as they are cheap)
    2. loose or broken wire from the Stepper driver to the stepper motor
    3. weak or dead stepper motor
    4. in rare cases it can be the Arduino failing (but -- that is uncommon)
    5. make sure the stepper gears are not binding (also rare)

The gears are turning, and everything inside is turning, its just not pulling the filament.

Ah, they you have a clog in the hotend most likely -- probably it melted above the heat break. That requires some disassembly.

Removing the clog is a bit of work, but not rocket science

That’s the thing, if I manually apply light pressure downward on the filament it comes out of the hot end. And if I remove the hot end and twist the wheel, the filament will feed maybe an inch and then stop even with no tension on the other end

Then I can't help you. If it is not the electronics and not a clog then... I have no ideas.
I STILL think it is a weak stepper driver and would suggest you pursue my first suggestion.

(and if you can turn it by hand it is not a mechanical problem)

One last thing thing to check is the hobbed bolt.
If you get a clog it will chew the filament up and the ribbed section that pulls the filament into the hotend will fail to work.

The video in post#5 will probably help there too

If the hobbed bolt is the cause then clean the hobbed section with a wire brush.
