    Hi Guys,

I'm switching over to a 0.25mm nozzle and was wondering what height and width I should program into Simplify3d?

Simplify keeps giving me a warning when I type in .25mm height and .25mm width saying I may not have proper layer adhesion.

What height and width should I be trying?

Also for those that have printed this small and fan or temperature tweaks?

    Thank you

You generally want to print at no more than 75% your nozzle height. So for a .25mm nozzle, .19mm is about as high as you want to go.

You can go much smaller with a .25mm nozzle.

I found that you need to go muchhhh slower with a .25mm nozzle. It was a bit frustrating how long prints took with it.

    Ditto.

Yea, you have to ramp everything down.

    Thanks Guys.
So when you say ramp down, throw me a number. I tend to print around 2000mm/min (33.3mm/sec) for the types of prints I run.

Probably start by cutting that in half. Then you can adjust from there to see what works.

In simplify3d settings you can tell it to use mm/s instead of min.

I was printing around 20mm/s to get good results. Bit painful
