I was some different issues with my printer but the only one I can figure out is the extruder motor not working when it's plugged into the extruder socket on the ramps. If I plug it into the x axis it works fine. I tried replacing the ramps but it still doesn't work.

What temperatures are you trying to extrude at?

You need to run the extruder at 200 degree's min, before the extruder will feed. that was wierd for me as I had been running my makerbot at 195 degrees. I'll tell you though.......running at 210 for PLA is very nice, just have your non print moves sped up a little more.

Also.....I think there is something that you can change somewhere so that you can bring the threshold temp down for the extruder to feed at a lower temp.......but thats something I know nothing about

You can print lower than that. I print at 195 with PLA almost exclusively. You may need to edit the firmware. I don't remember what the lowest temp is on stock robo.
