Solved DEAD robo3d

    Hi, The Mega 2650 for my 3d printer is dead I plug the printer into the pc and the fan starts and it heats up then cools then heats up. not detected by pc tried 3 different pc's and a linux box 5 different new usb cables. same thing. the mega 2650 is not detected by the pc at all. I suspect the card died. I just purchased a replacement from amazon. as Robo 3d did not reply to my help request. my question is I have a kickstarter abs and pla. what firmware do I use?

    Old ROBO R1 Firmware
    R1 Beta

    Would be my guess.
    I have an old copy from 2013 I have just kept hacking with :)

    Not at all, I can probably stage it on drop box or something.
    mine has been modified for a volcano hotend and a few other minor tweaks, but all are really just tweaks to internal limits.

    Are you using the stock hotend/thermistor or something else?

    Yes system is 100% stock abs / pla kickstarter build.

    OK, you will want to decustomize my copies. Would you prefer a vanilla copy of an older version?

    I have versions 2_4_14, 3_14_14 and 6_10_14. I may even have one earlier, but I will have to hunt that down.

    Replacing the Mega did the trick its all working correctly now. Printing better than before too.
