Windows upgrade

Went well and so far everything still seems to work as far as the printer is concerned. I have not done a long print, but 15-20 minute ones are fine.

 

Been using it the past three months. It is leaps an bounds better than Windows 8/8.1.

 

I would have to agree at this point. I don't see any real downsides.

I did two upgrades and one clean install, none of them have issues.

 

This is one of the smoothest upgrade experiences Microsoft has ever created.

If only Marlin were so easy.

Well today we did the toughest machine and it was still reasonable.
-Upgrade from 8.1
-throw away hard disks and swap for SSD drives
-reinstall machine from scratch

Worked as advertised. Other than some futzing around with USB drives it worked flawlessly.
One machine was Pro just to use it as a remote desktop host. All in all, nothing to bitch about.

One left -- the media center and for obvious reasons it will be staying 'as is' for now. Once I scope out what is replacing that functionality we will do it too.
