Could anyone recommend a good video card to use with simplify3d? Budget of $50-$100. Moving my models are painfully slow with the cheap card i have in my machine and need to upgrade. No gaming just need it for modeling so no idea if there's something i should be looking for in a card.

    Thanks-
    Nathan

I think I have a cheap radeon in the machine we use for the printer. Let me go find the model.

I was wrong, it is an older GFORCE card from NVidia. GEFORCE 8800 GT

More than enough. Just make sure you have enough RAM on the machine as well.

The CAD machine has a lot more Horsepower and a lot more expensive video card... The printer machine... not so much.

ok cool, ill have to check and see which one i have right now but its a dog. Cheap replacement for an 8600gt that went out. I guess if an 8800gt works good then ill try to get away with a newer one that is in the $30-$50 price range.

My machine has an older Q6600 intel with 6gb of ram and i think everything else is good enough it's just the video card that's lacking.

    Thanks!

That sounds good on the rest of the machine, so yea.. find a knock-off.
Heck, mine is not a real NVidia card.
