Got it yesterday and had a very rocky start. 1st off the SD card and USB thumb drive was not in the box. No big deal I just downloaded the software off the web site. 2nd I could not get the calibration circle to print with the pla that came with the printer, the hot end just kept trying to dig into the glass.

I then switched to some esun petg and simplify 3d. Well after about 3 hours I had it dialed in and it is printing great. I had to set the z axes offset in S3D to -0.2mm because it was trying to print .4mm above the bed and would not stick. I also had a RaspberryPi that I installed OctoPI and I am now able to print to the printer wireless.

This is not my first 3d printer. I started with a DaVinci 1.0 and the moved to a Flashforge Creator Pro which still prints great. I got the Robo because of the build size it has. I have printed about 10 of the 20mm calibration blocks to get it dialed in with Simplify 3D. The only drawback I see is how you have to load the filament. It is hard to see if it is going in correctly.

Well that is enough rambling for now. :)

I always just remove the two spring loaded screws and open the feed completely. Takes an extra 60 seconds* and there is no doubt then.

    *I have a lot of practice :)

Novice Expert has a video on some qiuck release filament changer. I have never seen the point in it I don't seem to have any problems just compressing the springs and sliding filament down in there. Bend your filament end out as straight as you can first so it goes in straight otherwise it goes out the side. Other than that I havn't needed to use the quick release thing.

I just got mine today. No usb or micro sd. But it did come with a standard sd card rubber feet and a filament guide.

Here is one with it in action. not sure why the picture is posting on it's side. Also my printer came with a .5mm nozzel on it. Is that normal. I thought it should be .4mm but when I extrude 100mm it is measuring .5mm.

So looks like they got rid of the blue LEDs changed to white. Added a slot for a normal sd card instead of the micro. There also is a small fan for the extruder not sure if there was before.

Yea, the Robo is capable of some very large prints. Good work.

Upgrading can be a challenge the first couple of times.
Good news is that it is pretty open hardware.

Before I upgraded to an E3D v6, I found that if I sat it front of the ROBO so that I was looking at the extruder, then:

    1) Hold the filament with the quick release closed (don't touch it)
    2) Push the filament against the round edge of the filament slot (with the quick release still closed, don't push it open at all).
    3) Feed the filament down to the bolt while maintaining contact with the round spot on the slot
    4) Turn the extruder gear clockwise while you feed the filament

95% of the time the bolt would grab it and feed it right in. The key was NOT opening the quick release at all.
