Print from SD card and shut off computer?

I thought I read that I should be able to do this:

From Matter Control I exported the G code to an SD card, then put the card in the printer and used Matter Control to start the job.

Then I tried to shut down Matter Control so I could turn off the computer, but I got a warning that the print job would be stopped, so I canceled the shutdown and let it run as usual.

Did I miss a step, or is this feature not really working?

I've browsed the documentation and this forum and I'm not finding the specific steps to use.

Any tips or an idea where to look would be appreciated.

Thanks for the idea! I hadn't thought to just yank the USB plug. It works...

Solved my issue completely

I don't believe they mentioned all the steps in their instructions.

 

One more thing - when you say LCD do you mean the MatterControl Touch standalone print controller? That looks like it would make things pretty convenient.
