What software? My lcd was a plug-in play. It looks like your Z steps are off or your extruder needs to be calibrated.

I loaded the v3 firmware. So Z steps were wayyyyy off. For some reason I couldn't add the full graphics controler in the updated lead screw firmware. So I ended up modifying the z steps in the v3 firmware seems to be working

Use the lead screw upgrade firmware, AKA Robo3DR1PlusV1

v3 is for older non-Plus printers

@jonnyb44 They are exactly the same firmwares except for Z axis steps (all Marlin 1.0.0), so the lines to comment/uncomment should be in exactly the same place. No worries, you figured it out anyway.

I ended up playing with the lead screw software because there are some other minor changes. Print speed would not change. But I finally got it working

If I can make a recommendation, the lcd is a great tool but I would make my next upgrade it the lead screw. I did it on mine and the quality of print is well worth the $100.00
