Hi my model height is a little off. All my models are coming out 0.3mm- 0.5mm to tall. I have 8mm threaded rod and the correct firmware. What can I do to get this any lower or even perfect every time?

    thanks in advance.

Try off setting the z axis by the amount that is off. Does the first layer stick well or no?

I would say .3 to .5mm falls within the measurement error range.

What are you making where 300 microns is critical?

the first layer sticks perfectly. Im printing component parts that fit in to grooves in 2 pieces of wood.

PLA swells when you print it. Some other filaments shrink.
Over the course of a print it is hard to be perfect. Only suggestion is to calibrate the extruder to make sure you are not over extruding.
