Has anyone used the E3D Cyclops with direct drive or is a bowen system the only solution with the Robo3D R1

I found a cyclops direct drive part on thingverse that I think could be blended with you current X-Carriage V2 to make a direct drive setup but the system wont let me add the hyper link.

I would imagine that adding a second stepper motor is already able to be added to the Robo3D R1

It's probably possible but I think you'd lose a lot of travel in the x

I found a design on thingverse that keeps the stepper motors in the y axis so that there is no loss of the x-axis, I believe the part can be blended with your modular carriage, but I am not sure what software to use as well as how to modify the combined STL to fill in the gaps.

Don't forget about the belt being right there. that's really the fork in the Y axis.

I did notice that on your modular carriage and was taking that into account when blending the two as there would be a small piece to fill in and modify for the filaments, otherwise the piece line up not to bad and could work well.
