Sigh... I was right. so now its heating but when I tell it to print, when it tries to auto level, at each point it goes up 10mm, then to the next point and up 10mm more for all 6 points...? And I did make sure the endpoints were engaged...

That means one of the Z axis endstops is always triggered.
Check the switches (and/or the connection back to the ramps).

Always triggered makes the firmware think that the extruder is always on the bed (so up 10 it goes)

    Everything looks good to me.
Here is the bed. Both red and black wires are attached and there is no space so the buttons would seem pressed

And here is the bottom, we are talking these three connections correct? Must be in the bottom 2 pins and doesn't matter which way they are plugged in. Correct?

Could these three be out of order? In Matter Control when I press Y+ it moves the bed towards me. When I press X+ it moves right. When I press Z+ it moves up.

Is there a way I can test each endstop individually to see if I have them on the right pins? Like a command? Like type G## and if wired correctly it should do....

Okay, got that worked out, had 2 wires switched. Now when it does the bed leveling, the left 2 points of each row work correct but the right point stops oh, 5mm above the bed. Then when I try to print, it prints above the bed. ???

Sounds like a limit switch isn't working right. Make sure it doesn't come loose when it moves over.

If it stops then it thinks it hit the bed, the limit switches are the only way it 'knows' that.

Okay.... One step closer. The cable was too tight so when it went all the way over, it lifted up just enough. SO, now its doing the leveling correct. But now its jamming in the nozzel... I'm thinking it is too close to the bed? How do I adjust this in Mater control?

    Does this help?

One way is to change your Z offset in the Controls screen/macros. Default is 0.9 so try 1.0. It is a sticky setting so it persists from print to print.

If you used the screw in stud thermister than no. If you used the the other one then yes and the firmware changes are covered in this thread.

I would also do a PID autotune. You can use the terminal in Mattercontrol to do so.

I saw a picture of this, and I assume a solution, but cannot find it. Here's what I I'm getting when it clogs. The filament kind of smooshes out like the nozzle is too close to the bed. I have tried clicking the 1.0 and even the 1.1 offset in Matter control but get the same.

All of the solutions I know of involve uninstalling MatterControl and using Cura or Repetier-Host instead.

Okay... Jam cleared, Matter Control uninstalled, Repetier-Host installed, retry = jam. So what do I do in Repetier-Host?

E3D is phsically installed and I am working on the firmware but am getting this error:

Sketch uses 114,340 bytes (45%) of program storage space. Maximum is 253,952 bytes.
Global variables use 4,201 bytes (51%) of dynamic memory, leaving 3,991 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 8,192 bytes.

could someone please assist? I'm using the M8 folder from Mike Kelly.

My printer is : Robo3dR1+ (November of 2015 purchased)
    Mods- Rep Rap XXL Controller

steps I'm doing is with the usb cord plugged in but power off trying to press upload and the shown above timeout error is showing. do I need to have the power on ? Or unhook the LCD? or am I doing something totally wrong here? :D Thanks in advance

Ok I have this figured out and running. I had s3d open and it must have been having a conflict with arduino. @Mike Kelly i probably did something incorrect but there appeared to be an issue with your r1+ threaded rod firmware. I uploaded and it went crazy. I ended up modifying the robo firmware per your instructions and all is good.

A huge thank you for writing up the step by step for all of us

By went crazy I mean the movement during auto home and being unable to start the print but my controller showed print time being done insanely fast

Yea, only one software can talk to the Robo at a time.
