So I have not changed any settings. Printed Solid was gracious enough to give me his .FFF profile. All I have done was install in new OEM hotend. See images below.

I am using 5.0mm retraction with a speed of 4100mm/sec and 190C/75C temps.

Filament just keeps coming out after machine is stopped. It also does this before I even click print.

This was not happening prior to the hotend change.

    What's the material and temp?

First thought is new hotend= new settings

Even though it's the same type of hotend.

It's ROBO Glow Blue. I have printed with this before. The part you see was printed at 200C. I lowered the temp to 195 which is as low as you can go with this stuff. I got slightly better results. I increased the retraction speed to 4100mm/sec and increased to 5.5mm of retraction. It lays down really great top layer though. It's just the strings are back.

Sounds like a material issue (or a bum spool). I have had the odd spool that misbehaved.

For ABS/PLA and other non-nylon materials stringing is normally a sign you are too hot on the extrude.
If it is stringing all the way down to the lowest temperature it will extrude at then that is a problem.
Retraction can help, but usually not solve stringing (and yours is extreme). Another thing that can affect stringing is print speed.
    Try slowing it down.

As suggested switch to a different spool and see what happens. Typically i adjust temp for each different spool. If that doesn't help I try in a different material to see what's happening. My hotend (hex and the e3d) both leak filament out of the nozzle when hot and sitting, but not a ton, typically I can wipe off before the auto level and I'm good.

I'll do that. In the mean time look at this!

These blobs happen in the same place now. I was trying to make myself a guitar pick for my rig.

That looks like boogers I get from over extrusion. Extra filament grabbed by the nozzle that falls off onto the prints

That is a lot of filament leaking from somewhere. Is it coming out of the nozzle or leaking out from somewhere else?
