I have had this happen on two different files. About 1 hour and 50 min into the print job...the printer just stops and hangs on the object its printing. No errors shown on my computer...anyone know why and what I can do to fix this ?

The GCode console shows no errors?

Without knowing that the best guess is a USB communications failure.
Try another cable (a better one).

Good, I can't help you with MatterControl (I do not use it) but we can eliminate a hardware problem.

You may have to scroll back through the GCode console log to find the error once it pops up.
There should be a way to do that or to export the entire log file and use notepad or something similar.
We want to see the first occurrence of any errors since that is where the actual information will be displayed.

    Good luck

Interesting, the print didn't fail this time . However before I started the print I replugged the USB cord into the computer....I did notice the table that my 3D printer sits on does shake quite a bit at times, so maybe its shaking the USB connection loose.
I have learned lots today , and Im sure I will learn a ton more.
Thank you so much for your time, especially on a Sunday.
    Cheers

This and freeing up my MacBook Pro is the reason I print untethered. It is easier in S3D, but you can do it in MC as well. This would eliminate the USB issues, especially for those 24+ hour print jobs.

Check to make sure the fan on the bottom is running cooling your ramps. Mine had intermittent issues and would shut down
