    The "X"--"Y"--and "Z" connector going from the switches to the ramps board is the black wire placed on the - pin or the other pin and on the extruder plug what way is the blue wire on the connector facing the power plug or facing away from it
    i am unable to find any information on the new style board

    Ok as far as I can tell
    Without pictures on the new ramps
    * black is - red it +

    * at least on my robo the blue wires were the led strips, not a fan and the blue is +. The connectors have a slot that mates with the plastic connector on the back.

    The new ramps board is pretty new to all of us. Here are a few pictures of mine hope it helps

    Yes endstops are the black
    And red "wound togather" and they plug into the connector black to -. I'm confused by hotend blue wire thing. The hotend thermistor plugs in back there but the hotend does not. Thermistor wires are red and black on my r1+.

    The only blue wires on the r1+ that I recall are for the leds

    Here is the stepper motor wiring

    I have other photos and am making a walkthrough for going from the new style
    Ramps to the old generic ramps so half the photos are on my phone the others are on iPad. :). But I think I have enough to get you started and can get you the others if still needed after

    Try it one way and if the stepper runs backwards -- turn it around.
    The stepper motor connectors are reversible.
    (and the wire colors are not always consistent)
