Hi, I am using SaintSmart TPU and I am getting issues with infill whereby lines are broken.

Anyone else getting these issues? Any solutions to resolve this? Thanks!

Opps, I found out the problem! I was printing too fast and too hot! :S

What settings are you using for TPU?

Awesome, I'm getting gaps in the prints... think its similar issue. Going to try those settings. I was printing at 30mm/s and 225 C

Most people have great success with flexible filament around 10-15 mm/s speed

I'm getting good prints now without support. But when I try support I get the TPU either clogging or bending in the gears. Have you had success with support material? and if so, what settings? Do you glue your PTFE tube into the gap? I also wonder if it's somehow not perfectly aligned

I'll take a pic next time it does it. I changed the length of the PTFE tube, so im crossing my fingers that it will help.

Yes! thats kind of what i did, i made it go up to the bolt with a 45 cut in the top so there's as little gap as possible

It didn't make it :( every print fails at almost the same point. I've tried a bunch of settings.

Here's some pics, in the pic with all the squiggly filament, the blue painters tape marks where in was at on the tube. All that was inside. I also put a pic of what its suppose to be printing, typically fails converting from the support to the piece.

    Retraction off?
Not sure how well supports will work with flexible materials.
I just avoid needing them (model around it)..

I have it on, should I turn it off? I was under the impression with TPU or other flexible, you need a good retraction to keep the model clean?

problem is I can avoid support with these parts. I've seen others print them, so I know its possible. I feel like i just have to get the right settings.

    No.
Use the minimum amount of retraction, I would start with zero and adjust if needed in very small increments.
Small stringing can happen and for that I would fiddle with temperatures fist, then retraction.

There is a delay in the extrusion or retraction for a flexible filament (it compresses more) and the more flexible it is, the worse this delay gets to be.

I run with retraction off and 40-60 mm/s. I just started upping my extrusion rate. I think i have it at 100(normally i run the robo at .96 cuz im too lazy to properly calibrate lol)

I do support material with semiflex but not full flex.its messy and igly but i have a real sharp exacto knife for clean up lol

Is there a "retraction off" setting, or do you just set the Retraction Length on Move to 0?

I use simplify 3d and there is a retraction "off" setting. I dont know aboit whichever slicer you use but setting it to zero may work

    Depends on the UI.
In Simplify3D it is under the process configuration, extruder tab, In the Ooze Controls section.
    Checkbox can turn it off

I don't know where it is in others.

Woot! turned the retraction to 0 (off) and got it! wasn't perfect as I need some more support but pretty nice for the first completion.

    speed 30mm/s
