    Hello,

I recently started printing much more complex models (F150 fighter jet for example) and these require a great deal of intricate supports. I was wondering what the best slicer and settings were for support generation, namely the angle, but all tips are welcome.

I have had difficulty removing the support as well. Any tools or techniques anyone can share?

    Regards,
    Tim

Hello i bought simplify 3d for the support removal and use their default settings. So i wont be much help there.

What slicer do you use ?

For clean up i use a xacto knife and sandpaper

Simplify3D, usually the same as @Geof -- the default settings.

Of the free ones... I couldn' tsay. Last time I used any of them they all failed badly.
Some have gotten better I hear, but I don't use them.

AAhhhhh I'm gonna have to pass on simplify 3D for now. Thanks for the heads-up though. I change off between matterslice and Cura.

Any advice to add on to this? Thanks for the help!

As I said earlier I dont use these but you can visit the matterhackers website or the cura website and ask questions of those users (many users here dont use either of the slicers). If cura that your changing to is the option in mattercontrol slice engine that would still be a question for matterhackers. They do have a forum for their users as well, but I cant speak for the activity.
