Nope. It does rattle the extruder a little bit. Is there a list of what could be loose so I can tight anything tomorrow?

Also, how do I tighten the belt?

With PLA/ABS that could just be a symptom of extruding a bit too hot.
When you do that the filament will want to stick to the hottest part (the nozzle).

If dropping the temperature a bit doesn't help then yes, you might want remove and clean the brass nozzle.
It can't be too much of a problem if your test for extruding 100mm extruded the correct amount.

The X belt has a ziptie right in the belt that you can see. Here is how mine looks (I modified the zipties a little):

The Y belt has screws on the ends of the rails (the crossbrace) that you can easily get to. Lift the bed and look at the belt and I think it will be obvious where the adjustment is.

If the extruder is lose and moving around id make sure the quick release is tight.

The belt as mark said has a zip tie on the carriage. Mine was maxed so i cut it and made mine look like marks so i could tighten it up. Hopefully you have enough there to tighten it. Keep us posted

Just saw your video. Too hot. The flow looks to even to be a clog IMO

My ziptie is completely cut off. I'm a bit afraid to cut it because god forbid I have to exchange it again. How do I tighten the threaded rods? Could that be the issue?

Well the threaded screw things that make the Z axis go up and down are kind of loose and wobbly.

    Here's a pic of the belt: http://imgur.com/a/LbZDb

Still sounds like you need to tighten your belt.
Yes, you might have to cut off and replace a zip tie as part of that process,

Unfortunately you will need to cut off that zip tie. I do suggest doing it just like @mark tomlinson picture.

I'll give it a go if you guys think it's worth it. Can I ask for one of you guys to pluck your belt so I can see how tight it should be?

The z rods on the r1+ are built into the stepper motor. There is no way to tighten but the smooth rod keeps your carriage straight unless the leadscrews are just terrible.

My only fear is that if I need to exchange they'll say I tried to mod it or something. This is standard right? This isn't considered like modding it?

No. This is maintenance. You are eventually going to have to do this to any belt driven printer.

Like changing the oil in a car...
