    Hey There.

So, this time, the printer stops printing every time. And at different heights.
I'm using PLA at 200 C and the Bed is at 50 C.

When the print stops, the G code accelearte and has this message repeating in the code.

    SENT: G1 X189.528 Y134.850 E22.4000
RECEIVED: Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)

RECEIVED: Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)

It's running so fast that as soon as I can disconnect, the first error message is no reachable or existing anymore.

Is anybody is able to print with that damned machine without having a new problem every time?
I spent more time to fix that shit than printing. Plus all the material I loose....
It is so far the most frustrating activity ever.....

    Thanks.

Is it very irritating but you have to have a further back of the log to see the actual error. Are you printing usb or sd ?

    And yes succesfully printing lol

    printing with USB.
When trying to see further back of the log on Simplify3D, I can not reach the beginning. looks like the code is cleaned up regularly.
I did try to see the first error message as you can imagine to see is any info of was available but looks like the info is lost. :(

I know I sound grumpy but I believe I have good reasons. ;)

something you can try is to monitor the temperature in the graph on S3D and see if its dropping off. More likely its a communication error. If you have a powered USB hub try running that between the printer and the computer to boost the com speed.

Would SD card be a better solution?
No USB Hub. direct computer to printer.
USB hub really boost the com speed?

Probably not an issue in this case, but we are only wildly guessing without the error.
I suspect that it is a TEMPERATURE FELL TOO MUCH DURING PRINT or similar error.

sd card takes it out of the equation but as @mark tomlinson said, I'm guessing without the initial error in the log. :( Just started with the most common.

And all of your fans are working? Specifically the one under the printer to cool the RAMPS board? See odd things happen when that little guy goes out. Like the guys have been suggesting above, using a new USB cable or doing it straight from SD card removes any issues from the PC and cables. Seen bad cables in the past too often.

All fans including the mother board one are running correctly.
Using the USB cable provided with ROBO3D R1+.

What would create an important enough drop of temperature???

Can not find my SD card reader so can't test with SD card yet.

A loose thermistor or one that is going bad.
It moves around and the temperature indicated falls.

A parts Fan blowing on the heater nozzle (rather than the part being printed).

There are two right off the cuff.

    Usually is it the first.

If this is the stock printer, flip it over and it is near where the USB cable plugs in (micro-usb card slot)

Unless you mean the one for your computer :)

For the R1+ the thermistor is mounted more securely than the R1 so it might just be a bad connection in the wire harness (including the black disconnects down near the hotend -- make sure they are tight) or at the RAMPS board.

I have the E3D V6 installed and the thermistor is pretty damn locked in. Just installed it last week.
And for the fan on the the Hotend, I'm using the mark 11 shroud from Marquis.
I'm waiting for the studs thermistors you guys were talking about in a different post.

And yes :) I meant the SD card reader for my computer.

So frustrating. I can't believe I'm becoming a mechanic instead of just printing 24/7.

I'm trying without the cooling fan right now.

I did try to upload the actual Gcode I'm trying to print but I got an error message:
    The following error occurred
Security error occurred. Please press back, refresh the page, and try again.
    MAIN BODY FRONT.gcode

I'm not sure that is why but the gcode file I was trying to upload on this topic is 8MB.

I can't open it, maybe a link to a website with it? a coup of pictures. Want to make sure nothing is in the gcode.

No i did not want that file, I want a text set of the gcode it self. How long did you have the printer? Is their anything in the way other print, or hardware?
