Some how between prints my Z-Axis on my Robo3d R1+ has gotten completely out of wack. I am using Simplify3d and am running an LCD Controller. The LCD allows me to move the axis' back-and-forth, up-and-down. When the printer ran the pre-print calibration the x and y axis worked but the z continually moved up until it started missing steps and I had t shut it down. When I try to control the Z-Axis on the LCD it moves up but thinks its hitting the z-switch and will not move down.

    Can someone help?

Are the two switches positioned exactly the same on the crossbar where they meet the rail?

If it thinks a Z switch is made that can only be the switch itself open or the wires to the switch open.
Closed is normal, open circuit is "At Home"/engaged/triggered.

I'm having a similar problem. The same cause. The switch assembly on the right hand side (the one with the usb connector) is riding high. The brass nut on the screw drive seems to have been pulled from the black plastic limit switch assembly. There is a recess that I assume the nut is supposed to drop into. Darned if I can get it to cooperate. The switch assembly has a plastic detent clip to hold it in place but I cannot get it over the edge of the block riding on the screw drive. Any thoughts. Now, be kind.

There are 3 switches total. I have tripled checked the switches.

There are two Z switches. They normally need to be snug against the bottom of the crossbar with the little button pressed. If they both are then a wire is broken or disconnected from the ramps or the ramps is bad. That is all that it can be since an open switch is what triggers Z home.

@Cbrown maybe share a good photo of each switch. A 2nd set of eyes might see something.

Not the wiring the physical position of the switch should be against the x axis.
