Every now and then, my Robo R1+ with E3D V6 hotend gets too cold to complete a print, and halts. It very slowly lowers temperature until it does out of range. If I keep trying and resetting things, it eventually prints just fine.

    Where is my problem?

And now its doing it consistently. No matter how many times I reset, I can get 1, maybe 2 layers our of it before it cools off and dies.

Might have something that got loose. Check your wiring and check the thermistor to make sure properly installed and secured.

Worst case it needs a new heater core.
It could also be the parts cooling fan blowing on the nozzle rather than on the printed part.

An easy way to test the parts fan is to just unplug it and see if you make it through a print. If so, you know what the issue is. If not, and the wires, thermistor, and heater core are secure, then heater cores off of Amazon are cheap. Get a bag of 40W 12V cores for under $10 and you hopefully you will be back in business in a couple days with Prime. https://amzn.com/B00YRH4TYK

The fan isn't the issue. I've turned it off for this material. The teenager was a little loose so I tighter it when the black was hot. No difference. Looks like I need a new core then.

I'd start with some 40 at theaters and some spare thermistors so your sure to be up and running

    Dammit Ryan.

I'm not worried about the thermistor as I'm looking to upgrade to a pt100 soon so I can print in polycarbonate.
