yeah a check to see if the endstop is triggered or not is to send the command M119 out of the terminal window. It will show the state of X, Y, and Z stops

well for it to have dislodged the endstop bracket the way it did...I wonder if something mechanical got out of wack.

I meant the connection to the RAMPS for the X stepper, but it matters not since your description of the behavior says that the stepper is wired correctly. Something else is awry.

oh that makes sense..you swapped the endstop wires. if the carriage isn't touching the endstop and it is saying triggered then flip those wires back again.

so the end stop is on the left raid bracket right. There are 3 lead terminals on the momentary switch. From looking at it from the top down, how should the wires be connected?
Like if = is a terminal on the switch:

    a.

    =X(nothing)
    =black
    =red

    or

    b.
    =black
    =X
    =red

    or

    c.
    =X
    =red
    =black

It was connected to the middle terminal. When I pushed Home all it works now!

That's great! Yeah it is always a pain when a wire comes off and you have no idea where it was. So does it autolevel and print ok now?

cant print just yet, it seems something is blocking the filament from going in all the way.
