Yea, you can replace Q3 and most of the time that will sort it, but sometimes it is other related parts so you might have more than the MOSFET to chase down. I have repaired ... one. Then I started pitching them since new ones are so silly cheap :)

It's alive! But my heated bed turns on when off and off when on! How could I have managed that?!

That sounds like a wire is flipped

No idea what I could have flipped. Relay is wired 12v from p/s, + and - from ramps, and + output to the heated bed. The thermistor is reading fine. Soo close! I would try hooking the bed straight to the ramps but I'm afraid I'll blow it again. Time to go back thru the wiring.

Well found nothing besides I had my extruder wire on backwards. Everything else looks fine so no idea what's going on. I'll probably take off early tomorrow and mess with it before I go out of town for the weekend.

Not sure if it could have been something I did when I messed around in the firmware installing that controller.

Oh well, good learning experience so far.

Wrong contacts on the relay? Once set is NC the other set NO.
You want NO so that when you power the relay they go closed and power the bed.
Otherwise you are backwards an powering the bed when the power is off to the relay.

Yeah that has to be what's happening. I should have the correct relay in today so I'm going to switch it out and I think I'll be good to go. I was going to try to switch around stuff on the relay I have but didn't want to risk it. Couldn't really find any diagrams with it wired up any different than I have it now.

    Thanks!

There are usually 3 output contacts on a single-pole relay: 1 common, 1 normally open and the other normally closed. You can meter it out if you want or swap relays :)
