So I wake up wanting to print out a drone frame and now for some reason my printer won't connect? Nothing has changed on my PC since last night. No updates, no viruses, nothing.

I went online to check for a solution and they recommended making sure the 'Baudrate' is the same in the Device Manager as it in in the Machine Control Panel.

Well, it is and I have yet to connect at all. Can anyone please help me!?

    Check another COM port.
Arduinos on the PC are odd in that occasionally windows will decide it is a new device and assign it a new port.

It could (possible although less likely) be an actual bad Arduino Mega

It says the Audrino is on COM3 in the device manager. It only gives me the choice of \.\\COM1 or \.\\COM3 in the machine control panel. I wonder if I should just uninstall S3D and the Audrino drivers?

Give it a whirl and if it still fails to connect I would suspect a defective Ardunio.

    Okay so I fixed this:

    • STEP ONE: Disable the Arduino \.\\COM3 port in the Device Manager, LEAVE your printer connected and turn it off.
    • STEP TWO: Uninstall Simplify 3D
    • STEP THREE: Start>regedit
    • STEP FOUR: Do a search for Arduino.
    • STEP FIVE: Delete the ENTIRE folder
    • STEP SIX: Do the exact same thing for Simplify3D (Search & Destroy)
    • STEP SEVEN: Re-install Simplify3D and when complete uncheck 'View Quick Start' and click 'Okay'.
    • STEP EIGHT: Open the 'Machine Control Panel' and click 'Connect'. It will fail.
    • STEP NINE: Re-enable the Arduino \.\\COM3 port and then click 'Connect' again.
    • STEP TEN: Profit!

Can you mark this as solved?

Mine wont connect in simplify3d unless my baud rate is set to 25,000 or whatever the highest one is.

One other note is that if you have multiple S3D panels open, and you click connect on the machine panel, it may fail. You need to close the machine panel and reopen it from the preview screen of the object you want to print. Not saying that's your issue but it is another thing to check.
