I just got my Robo3D yest and went the glue stick route for my first couple of prints. I think I am going to switch to using hairspray. How does one go about cleaning the glue and all off the bed? I used the scraper and got some of it off, but I don't want to use it too much and damage the glass.

    Thoughts?

Wonder works great, since the bed is glass.

Windex or any other kind of glass cleaner, Acetone in a pinch, denatured alcohol works too.

I use whatever glass/counter cleaner spray the wife has in the front of the cabinet. All seem to work fine.
Edit to add: I'm only assuming glue comes off as easily as hair spray does. A little elbow grease and cleaner does fine.

I wrote Windex meaning the same thing as when someone says Kleenex instead of facial tissue or Coke when speaking of a Cola drink. I actually use some cheap stuff bought from Sam's Club or Walmart.

Works wonders on hairspray a couple more wipes when using a glue stick.

    Thanks.
How often do you guys clean yours? Mine didn't seem to want to stick well after the first print.

Maybe once every 20 prints, then reapply. But I use hairspray and sometimes reapply thin coatings between cleanings

Sorry - auto correct fail - I meant Windex, like the other guys wrote. :)

Maybe like when it looks disgusting enough to motivate me and then reapply hairspray :)

I used to clean mine about the same about 20 prints or so. But I've gotten really lazy and just move my model over a little bit in the slicer software to print on fresh hairspray that wasn't printed on yet. I have printed over 40 models so far that way.

... it's probably about time I cleaned it again though.

I have no intention of actually cleaning it soon, but saying I will somehow makes me feel ... cleaner... or more socially acceptable
