1/32 Step Upgrade?

Has anyone looked into, or tried, upgrading the current RAMPS setup to something that'll do 1/32 steps?

I'm thinking about either a RUMBA or an Azteeg X3, with whatever variation of 8825 driver.

 

what are you trying to accomplish? If you think it will give you better resolution prints..somewhat...it might but due to what's available in the mechanical aspect of the printers assembly...it may be more trouble than its worth...There are also some other side affects to consider when missing with micro stepping. Without going into too much detail.. its not really worth the extra effort to convert a printer that wasn't already setup to use 1/32 stepping.

I was actually hoping for better precision rather than higher resolution.
