Everything is going fine until it just stops for no known reason. Have temperamental sticking issues when I use mattercontrol, regardless of the slice engine used.

 

Nothing that I saw. The secondary window still said it was printing.

 

About to try it again just to see what you might be referring to.

Would it be in the start/end-gcode tab? Instead of a separate window.

 

Check your computer power saving USB settings. Some computers will disable USB ports after a certain amount of time.

 

Turned that issue off back before I started printing. Learned that from some of the videos I watched.

 

This isn't with MC. It's with cura. I'm trying to get away from MC for various reasons.

 

You need to enable the advanced printer controls options to see the command log

 

Oh, it went to the opposite side this time. Lol let's see if it stops in the same spot.

 

And of course it is still going. I'm scared to leave it though. Lol

 

And I'm going to have to stop it early because it came off the bed. Nothing I have tried gives me consistent success with this problem. I have had more luck with the bare bed than anything else. Can't get the hairspray or tape "trick" to work. I'm sure the heated bed will help but I don't have that yet.

Even the raft and brim options don't help.

 

What hairspray are you using? Try elmers glue sticks as well.

White rain extra hold. I will look into that later this afternoon. I have to get to work lol. The joy of making your own hours.


Did great though until it stopped on its own again before I stopped it myself. I was going to let it finish the layer it was on. The corner is from when it stopped and curled up to the hot end.

 

Yeah it needs the particular co-polymer. It's not just hairspray that matters.

Aquanet Superhold is what I suggest
