I am getting extreme warping in my abs. Every few layers the layers peel away from eachother and rectangular prisms look like boats. Any tips? I use simplify 3D with Robo R1 with auto leveler.

It was solved just simply a bad brand or bad spool. GIZMO dorks White ABS. I tried a Hatchbox ABS and it worked fine but I'm getting bad z ribbing. I have the latest R1 with auto level. It started happening out of nowhere. Not sure what the cause is. It seems like inconsistent feed. Some layers are squished more than others.

Sounds like the Z stepper driver is over heating. Make sure the cooling fan on the bottom of your printer is running and try lifting up the printer a bit so it has more airflow going to the fan.

Let me check out the fan. Would this be the fan under the board?

No it would be on top, attached to the bottom cover, can't miss it.

There are 4 fans on my robo. 1 for pla, 1 for extruder, 1 for the arduino board, and 1 in the power supply. There are no fans near the z-axis steppers.

Stepper driver, not stepper motor. On the Arduino/Ramps

Because it's the fan you unplug when removing the bottom cover.

got it. I replaced the fan with a spare laying around with much higher airflow and saw no improvements.
