I've been using Fusion 360 for awhile now and it works really well for many things. It's got a few holes and the file management "social" interface is confusing as all get out but the design environment is pretty nice.

Also I think it's only a 90 day trial, not completely free :(

Yup... I thought it was free like the last version but it's a 90 day trial. It's $25 a month which is much cheaper than buying other pro apps. I will be buying/renting it at the end of the trial. It has all the features I wish SketchUp had. Just check out the tutorials.

You can design threaded objects and even split objects in half which will come in handy with 3D printing....
For me it's worth $25 a month and I like to think I'm pretty frugal.

I spend $20/month on Photoshop so, yeah, I'd like something free but their fee isn't unreasonable.
