Hey guys just a word of warning here. I noticed my E3D was extruding funny. The filament would come out fine for a little bit and then dry up. I noticed my heat sink didn't feel warm at all so I went to tighten it a little bit without using any excessive force and it snapped right off!

that sucks, but the good thing about the E3D is that you can replace just the barrel.

Well its broken off into the barrell and the heater block so I would need all three parts. I emailed them in hopes they can send a replacement.

Well it looks like you would be able to grab the bit in the heat sink with some pliers. Should be able to get the part in the heater block out with a drill bit just slightly bigger then the hole to dig into it and then twist it out. They shouldn't be in there that tight that it's impossible to get out.

Don't try it without the right tools. All you need is the tube replacement.

Easy out type removal tools are a common item at any automotive or hardware store. Best of luck.

bummer man. Really shouldn't have tightened it there...

You could probably get those pieces out with some screw removers.
