Hi all, I recently brought my R1+ out of storage to start printing again. I used to get great quality prints but this go around I have not been able to produce anything besides the calibration cubes below. I have tried every setting I can think of from printing speed to extrusion speed to temp to Z offset and I can not figure out what the issue is. I checked the tension belt but I don't know how to tell if it needs tightened or not. If anyone has any ideas I would definitely appreciate it!

I am using MatterControl with a new roll of Hatchbox PLA at anywhere from 185 to 215 degrees and a 60 degree print bed.

Both the X and the Y side look pretty similar but the Z always prints great. Cal_Cube.jpg Cal_Cube_Close.jpg

Check the belts are tensioned correctly: http://community.robo3d.com/index.php?threads/belt-tensioning.23672/

Manually slide the bed back and forth, do the same for the print head carriage see if at any point the motion feels sticky or is not smoothly moving (that could be a bad bearing). If you have not lubricated the smooth rods and it has been in storage, I'd start with that: https://help.robo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001259612-Lubricating-the-axes

For visual help troubleshooting look here as well: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/

This is probably a mechanical issue rather than software (slicer) but it wouldn't hurt to try a different one.
