Are you pressing the button to lower the nozzle when running the wizard?

It starts high and you have to lower it using the buttons to touch the sheet of paper...

(I know that seems obvious, but it needs to be said/asked)

It may still store the offset once you complete the wizard as a positive so beware of that.

I can't remember which step of the wizard that is, if it is hanging before it asks for the adjustments... then you are not going to be able to use it. I would just in that case start manually setting the offset in the firmware editor and adjusting it as needed. That at least will gt you printing again.

Directly after a firmware reset, at the R2 LCD: Utilities -> Options -> EEPROM -> Home Offset - make sure the value shows as Z:-20.00

If the value is not -20.00, then the firmware is probably corrupted.

The correct firmware file should be Marlin_1.1.6_RoboVersion_1.2.6_R2.hex Downloaded from

    https://github.com/Robo3D/Marlin/releases/tag/Marlin_1.1.6_RoboVersion_1.2.6

I am not making it far enough for that to happen. The robo screen is sitting on step 1/4 and the terminal is printing "wait" over and over again. it is even printing "wait" when it just idles.

The home offset is set to -20.0

Here is an image of my printer attempting to do the Z offset

Yup, had to ask tho' :)
Odd that it is almost like it is not able to sense the position correctly via the IR sensor.

Looks like the X - Y offsets are wrong. Utilities -> Update What version of Robo software do you have?

The version is correct. Try downloading a fresh copy of the firmware and upload it via the Octoprint Firmware Update plugin.

The symptoms which you describe sounds like a software conflict between RoboOS and the Marlin firmware.

Other question: In the Motor Control menu, does the printer reset properly when you tap the Home button.

Re downloaded and flashed the firmware, still get the same issue.

When I home it, the bed drops to the bottom and the extruder goes to the back left corner

At least we can rule out an end-stop problem. When you do the Z Offset wizard, the extruder should proceed to the front left corner of the print bed. You have eliminated the firmware as the problem. And as Sherlock Holmes quoted, "...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth ..." So, that leaves the RoboOS image as suspect. Or perhaps the SDcard itself.

Specifically the LCD code which is all executed on the RoboOS as an embedded plugin for OctoPrint.
and I agree -- that is the flaw.

Totally replacing the OS Image is indeed the easiest and surest way to sort that.

It would need to be the newer R2, not C2.

I was attempting to go through updates to pull the latest info, but the printer loads an update screen and i am unable to select either update or later on the screen.I also cannot find how it install the newer version of octoprint from octoprint

    Then try this one: r2_2.0_replace.zip
(same google drive share as the other)

Not certain that it is the latest (don't have an R2) but it is the most recent R2 image I have and it is 2.x

currently at 10% uploaded so be patient as it may not show up in the drive directory until it is 100% - might take an hour.

It appears the above link only shares the file, not the location. Whenever the R2 file is loaded, can you paste that link? Thanks!
