I have been through most of the JST catalog and cannot identify the connector type used on the distribution board located on the top of the extruder. I am pretty sure it has 2.0 mm pin spacing and has some sort of guide tabs on the outside edges. It is not a JST-PH (used in steppers).

If anyone can help I would appreciate it very much.

I assume that one of these is what we're talking about (the Uptown Adapter).

I'm guessing that you're not chasing the ribbon cable, but I tend to go to digikey for those. Are the rest JST-XH...?

    Or JST-XH-A?

It is the Uptown Connector Board but it isn't those, the connectors on the board are on a 2.0 mm pitch the JST-XH are 2.50 mm pitch.

So I took more care measuring the pitch and it is 2.5 or possibly 2.54 mm, but they are not the JST-XH. the XH connector is too thick and does not physically fit in the socket. I am still looking through the JST catalog item by item to see if I can spot the correct connector.

The connectors look to be JST-EH-4Y (motor) and JST-EH-2Y (thermistor, heater), maybe?

Nope, looking to replace Extruder stepper motor with a 20 mm one and still reuse the board. Want it to just plug in.

ping Robo? They should be able to get foxconn to give them the specs on that?

edit: I'm silly like this but I'd likely splice in the meantime.

They've got the pitch at 2.5mm on this one. Look down the page for options. There's a B3B and a B2B version.

You need the cables/plugs I suppose. But once you get the series decoration, this ought to be easier.

@OutsourcedGuru I have a whole box of XH connectors here from 2-pin through 6-pin and like I mentioned before they DO NOT fit.

I am pretty sure they are EH series, but I did email Robo support (not really expecting an answer, but you never know).

Actually, I've got some in my P.O. box (from Digikey) waiting for me to pick them up. I'll try to swing by there and give them a try.

Not sure if Wiki helps on this.

I already was in the JST catalog and that's why I think it is the EH series, just trying to verify that before I go out and buy a bunch of them.

So I get a response from Robo Zendesk (probably automated) and it directs me to troubleshooting the connections on the Uptown board not just answering the question about what connector it is. Oh well. Maybe an answer is still forthcoming.

Pretty sure the XH's receptacle has all four corners of the "box" and the EH has one side completely open.

The EH is characterized by those side slots on the ends. https://www.bphobbies.com/img/chargery/MaleJST_EH_4PIN.jpg

Also, look for an integer on the side of the connector "5 = XH".

You're not telling me anything I don't already know, why are you still mentioning the XH series, it isn't that version.

Did you look at what I used on the C2 dual extruder?
    Those fit without any issues.

I got confirmation from a developer at Robo and indeed the smaller connectors on the Uptown board (located at the top of the Extruder/Hotend assembly and the Downtown board (located at the bottom of the Extruder/Hotend assemby are indeed JST-EH 2.5 mm Pitch 2-pin and 4-pin connectors.

They are a bit hard to source on Amazon, I did not check Mouser or Digikey, they are hard to source on AliExpress also but can be found.

Title of thread changed from question to statement.

Good to know that they are available from Digikey that makes them more accessible to US users. Personally I wished that Digikey would get their shipping and handling to more reasonable levels for small orders.
