Can Cubify Invent export STL format?

Can you figure out how to use Cura to generate programs for the Robo to run?

If so, it will work just fine.

Matter control is super simple but to simple, cura is nice. Simplicity 3d is what I personally use

You might want to review this:

    http://www.3ders.org/3d-printing-basics.html
    and
    http://www.instructables.com/id/Design-and-print-3d-models/
    and
    http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2011/12/how-to-make-a-model-for-3d-printing/

I will say there is no pat answer. Your skills and background determine what is best. Some 3D modeling software is more designed for 'artistic' modeling and others for mechanical modeling. If you are a mechanical engineer type you will prefer the latter.

Most printing software (what sends the model to the printer -- not what creates the model) requires the model in STL format. SO if you can get it into that format you can probably print it. However practice is required since I can model things all day that are inherently unprintable.

Thanks to all. Yes Cibify Invent is able to export in to Cura, I tried this morning no problem. But when I tried to import from this site into Cubify it did not recognize the file.

Does Cubify have a plugin to read STL files or can it directly convert them?
    That will be the issue.

It looks like it's the same basic interface as geomagic, which is a poor man's solid works, and does pretty well with stl export.

The only "free" software that I have seen that handles .stl files and allows you to convert them to solids is FreeCAD. MeshLAB will let you work on the actual .stl file mesh, but it would be tedious on a high resolution mesh. It is slow besides. FreeCAD can convert an .stl file to shape then convert again to solid.

There is also Google Sketchup and the STL Import extension, but then you have to get familiar with Google Sketchup.
