I've installed the Cura software for Windows, and I have connected the printer, but when I go to send the code file directly to the printer, it says the printer is connected, but not accepting commands..... I can go to the printer's IP and load the Octoprint interface, and control the printer from there.... But in order to print, I have to "save" the code file" and them go to Octoprint and load it and print it....

    Any suggestions?

I think in the cura settings you have to use the printers ip and not the host name...

Thanks to Cory, I figured it out.

You need to copy your API key from within Octoprint and paste it in the Cura printer settings.

    1. Browse to your printer's IP (loads Octoprint)
    2. Go to settings, near the top on the right hand side
    3. The ninth Option is your API KEY
    4. Copy your key, then hit cancel.
    5. Go to Cura, Manage your printer.
    6. Click on the Octoprint Tab (Center one)
    7. "Add" your API KEY (paste) it in the white box.
    8. Click the Connect.

    Worked for me......

Yea, most folks are not familiar with Octoprint (and you nailed it) and even those who do use it would much rather use it than an attached computer. We use it all the time on the delta unit and I love not being forced to hook up a computer. Going to redo the otherr Robos at some point (they are older models).

P.S. as we get more expertise on the newer models more folks will have more to offer here :)

FYI.. check your material settings and make sure the PLA is the correct mm. Cura is having an issue (documented on their forum) where material profile aren't saving.
