Demand an update?

So I am sure the team is working hard, I don't doubt it but we are now 5 days away from the start of the ORIGINAL projected month for the first printers to be going out. I know the Chinese New Year and number of units has pushed this off. But I believe we deserve another update, they mentioned they were picking up motors; where do they stand now? What are they waiting on? Do they have new pictures, videos, information? Are they working on upgrades? To me, at this point they should be looking forward, a good company is always thinking ahead. Once they assemble a few units it should be pretty much monkey work which they should be able to pawn off on their volunteers and those they have hired so that the team can focus on the future.

So this is me calling out the team, how about an update gentlemen?

Dude, chill. They said the dates were pushed something like 3 weeks. They just posted update 13 what, 3 days ago!!! That's how we all got here in the first place, when they announced the forums.

They need to fill the backers orders, that's the priority... then, and ONLY then, should they be doing much forward looking beyond. Considering the feature creep which occurred during the funding round and volume of printers, having as small a delay as is going to occur is nothing, and we all get WAY better printers for it. Sit back, relax, take a deep breath, and chill. They have been great about providing updates and communicating when something is worth sending out. Give the guys time to do what they need to do without being so demanding. If two weeks pass and we've not heard anything, then consider asking... but three days?!?!?! Seriously?!?!

 

If you want to see an unresponsive company, look up the Zioneyez project on Kickstarter. That was $150 well-spent...

The RoBo team are doing just fine.

 

Wow, I hope that never happens with RoBo, It scares me when I see these kickstarters that did well but ended up failing to produce a product.

 

I think this is getting read wrong.. I am not attacking or saying that they are being unresponsive. Matt, 3 days yes but that was to announce the forum. Feb 14 "our electronics have been shipped and should be here shortly" almost 10 days later, are the electronics there? I know the team is doing great, I have defended them from day one when people began dropping out and attacking them. So let's all take a deep breath and chill.

So, they let us know on Facebook that these are the RAMPS 1.4 setups, first batch, so they are starting their flashing. Better you guys than me! ;-)

Any chance we can get an updated print of the torture test or other demanding prints so we can see what kind of quality the printer has of late?

 

I would like to see some more prints too but only because I'm excited to get my printer. Like Harry said at this point it is what it is. The last round of prints looked pretty good and I'm sure the guys are up the their ears in printer assembly right now.
