The programmer in the Arduino IDE is set incorrectly. Should be AVRISP mk II.

    1. Is anything else running trying to access your printer like a slicer or something?
    2. Also please post what version of the IDE you are using, it might be out of date.
    3. Please post the following from the Arduino IDE:
      • Tools >> Board
      • Tools >> Processor
      • Tools >> Programmer

Upgrade your IDE, current version is 1.6.13, make sure you accept the USB driver installation.

Are you sure nothing else is running, if the port is busy you will get a timeout from the programmer. Does Device Manager in windows show COM3 as working properly. Also try unplugging the printer from the wall and USB then reconnecting to both.

When you unplug your printer from the USB and plug it back in does your machine beep to indicate there is a new USB connection?

It is recognized by the OS, do you have another computer to try to hook it up to?

If it is under warranty you need to be talking to Robo support. Get a replacement Arduino for starters.
Out of warranty they are still quite cheap ($35 for a Genuino and $10-12 for a clone).

I did all of that :) still waiting on a reply from them and its been 3 days :( , also talked phone to tech support and there not much help at all -.- , they basicly do what they can if its a fast fix, if its longer then just a 10-15 min fix you have to set up an appointment to skype with a tech , but by the time that even happens i could have bought a whole new board from robo3D (for75$) and had it shipped here and in place by then.

yes i am way inside of warranty (only had it 2 weeks working, one week dead) so i don't get why they take weeks to do anything but i could order the part i need and they would ship it to me and by the time the tech gets to the point of (Hmmm.. i think you need a new board) i could have already fixed it my self , i have a clone on the way but would rather use Original parts but getting original parts from robo is like squeezing water from rocks.

    (Totaly a Prime member >:D)

the one in mine is Arduino branded , but if there all close to the same i guess the clone will not be to bad untill i get the replacement and swap them , then take the clone and the Exp i have learned from doing all this and build a 2nd printer >:D
