Drive Belt Tension???

    1. When it comes to both belts of a particular axis, how identical does the tension need to be?
    2. Can they be too tight?
    3. How would one go about adjusting them on the R2?

    @WheresWaldo has had them apart. I am not sure they are adustable.

    1. They should be fairly even
    2. Yes they can be too tight, but I don't see that as an issue with the R2, maybe a bit loose.

    Make sure none of the rest of the gantry is misaligned or knocked out of place.

    You'd be amazed how "loose" feeling gantry style machines belts can be and not cause a problem, darn near floppy :D. like @mark tomlinson stated you should make sure everything is square on the gantry and continue on :D

    They are actually pretty tight when new, enough that trying to pull the rods into place is an interesting task. I just use the clips that came with the machine to align the belts, just watch the set screws as they will come loose. Thread locker helps.
