E3d Kraken Upgrade?

    Has anyone seen this yet? would it work on a Robo? It looks pretty amazing and im sure some pretty amazing prints could come out of it! Anyone plan to buy one? More pics here http://imgur.com/a/8Qey0

    I think it's a small enough area it should fit on the existing carriage. I just can't imagine having 4 extruders o_O

    Yeah it looks it would be able to fit in the current carriage, it's nice since you don't have to do 4 you could start with 3or2 and just add more later on. I'll wait a bit and let all the kinks get worked out.

    would the weight of it pull down the carriage?

    Na the weight would just add inertia so you'd have to go at a slower speed. Though since it's a bowden setup it will probably weigh less than the current extruder + stepper motor assembly.

    Yeah, it will weigh less, steppers are heavy.
