After cleaning the heat block of my original hexagon hotend, I may or may not have totally stripped the threads where the nozzle goes in the heat block. So its time for a new hotend. Should I just buy another hexagon hot end or should I get the E3d v6? How difficult would it be to change to the v6?

Not hard at all. Advantage of the E3D is that it is completely rebuildable. Overall quality is just a better with the E3D.

You could find individual parts in bulk such as the heat block, heat break, heat sink, nozzles, heating elements, and thermistors. It's a good idea to keep these parts on hand just in case one part goes bad so that you don't have down time waiting for an entire hotend to come in the mail.
